Igor from Kingswood Engineer was fabulous. We had a severe issue with the structure of our home and Igor was quick to respond, extremely informative, gave practical advice and provided us with the solution needed to ensure a catastrophic event did not happen with our home. We would use Igor again!

If I could give them ten stars, I would. The entire team is competent and professional. I hired Kingswood to do the engineering calculations and drawings to remove part of a load bearing wall. It ended up being much larger project as time went on. I managed the project on my own without a GC, so I also hired them to submit the permits for me. Man, am I glad I did that. I had a lot of questions for them as construction went on and they were happy to oblige. They also had to write me an engineering letter for some on-site adjustments we had to make and they were gracious enough not to charge extra. It is clear to me that this company is honest, competent and trustworthy. I am hoping to hire them for deck plans. If you want to do things right and make sure your project follows the law and is therefore insurable, look no further.

Igor did a structural assessment on my 100+ year old home in downtown St. Catharines to address long-term settling of my main beam and front porch. He took a collaborate approach to explain the issues and develop a cost-effective solution to stop and rehabilitate the settling in my old home. Highly recommend.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but Igor and his team absolutely deserve one. As a design-build contractor who has worked with many engineers and architects over the years, I can confidently say the level of detail and clarity Igor provides is in a class of its own. His drawings are thorough, technically sound, and exceptionally well organized.. yet never overcomplicated. That balance is rare. Too often, you either get minimal documentation or overly complex packages that slow down execution on site. From a builder’s perspective, that clarity matters. It reduces guesswork, eliminates unnecessary RFIs, and keeps projects moving efficiently. Inspectors appreciate the documentation. Trades understand it. Clients feel confident in it. Responses are timely, questions are addressed directly. When challenges arise, as they always do in construction, Igor approaches them with practical, solution-oriented thinking. Communication is excellent. If you are looking for structural engineering. I would highly recommend Igor and his team without hesitation.

Great experience with their knowledge and professional service

I have only worked with Kingswood once but my experience with Igor, Ann and others on the team was excellent. Communication, pricing and knowledge were top-notch. Would've liked a slightly quicker turn around on the drawings themselves but you can't blame a company for being busy! I would definitely recommend them and will, myself, be back!

As an Interior Design Professional, and in the industry for 30 years, I have worked with many architects, architectural technologists, and engineers across the country. Kingswwod, so far, has outshone them all! What I so appreciate is the "team" approach - from our first on site meeting (an extensive renovation of a 1955 home which will require underpinning and additions) to the initial space planning (putting rooms on paper) - I was impressed that the structural components were addressed concurrently with the "design vision" ...this does not always happen with other firms. The Kingswood Team approach saves a lot of time (and money), and Milica, Ema, and Igor are resolute in providing the best solution while being cost conscious. We are only at the beginning stages of our process, and I am super excited with what we have accomplished so far! The team is very honest and communicative; they listen and offer amazing solutions. Truly a wonderful team!

Highly recommended! Contacted Kingswood Engineers Ltd. For basement foundation cracks. Made appointment and engineer showed up as scheduled. Our assigned engineer was Igor and he was very easy to work with. Igor answered all of our questions and was thorough. Igor examined all walls and concrete floor. We went outside around perimeter of house so he can inspect grading. Certified detailed engineer report was emailed to us on time. I asked for a hard copy and it was sent out promptly. It was a great experience working with Kingswood Engineers Ltd. and highly recommend them if you're looking for excellent service.
